Does reality really exist?
"What is the truth?" "The truth is that you are a slave, Neo. You, like everyone else, were born enslaved...you were put in a prison where you couldn't smell, taste, or Touch. This is the prison of your mind." I like this dialogue very much, even the savior cannot be enslaved by the fate, Plato also used the "cave" as a metaphor for the limitations of human knowledge, I think it is not only the limitations of our knowledge The shackles of sex, if we know everything, then the completeness of this knowledge is also an invisible shackle that shackles our actions - when you teach a child the rules, the child will think it is right and follow, Thus shackled, and thus lost the opportunity to explore freely.
When we suddenly find that we are just a program in the mother's body, when we suddenly find that our life is nothing but a huge photo studio, when we find that the life of survival is regarded as a big cage by the lion in the cage, why should we Saying we are real, how can we be sure that there is no wider sky beyond the bottom of the well? "There's not a single thing I've ever believed to be true that I can't doubt...". Suddenly panicked, is that really true? I feel like we've set a trap for ourselves, we don't believe that the truth is the truth, and if I doubt something, how can I say it's the truth?
I think the real change is to believe in the reality of the moment, and to live in the moment is the reality. The city of machines that Neo saw, shining with golden light, very beautiful, this is true; in the eyes of human beings, it is ugly, this is also true; the world in the eyes of blind people is real, dare to face the bleak life, dare to face the dripping blood. Warriors are real too. Because we dare to believe in the reality of the moment, we are willing to live in the moment, be ants in the world, do our best to make life better, pursue our dreams, look for the beautiful morning glow, and accept this ordinary and lovely City.
Is it possible to "know yourself"?
Some people say that to know yourself is to know your soul, but I have always wanted to ask what is a soul? Do you know yourself first, or do you know your soul first? I want to investigate the process by which we know ourselves. If there is only one person, that is me, then what is the me who knows me? As it is; there are two people now, so what do I know? What I see in my eyes and what I see in other people's eyes? There are two of me at this time? Who is real? In reality, the me I know is the me I know from a group of people, the me I know from several circles, and the me who wears various masks. Who is the real me? Often we compare ourselves with others, and others compare me with others, so how do we know me? It is to put me in the universal values of the society, and it is the recognized "I" of the society that recognizes it, so isn't the process of knowing oneself a process of constantly turning oneself into a "perfect man"? Thinking about it like this, I suddenly feel very disappointed.
In the second episode of The Matrix, Neo meets the Creator under the guidance of the Prophet and must choose between picking 23 men and women to rebuild Zion before the machines destroy humanity, or saving Trinity when she is dying. Neo though is the 6th generation savior. But unlike his predecessor, he chose to save Trinity. I think maybe that's him, that's what makes him different from the previous five. Wang Guowei said that when I look at things, everything has my own color, and everyone's understanding of the world has its own unique color. Some people are rosy, they are colorful and active in all corners of life; some people are green, always alive and full of passion; some people are gray, obscure, and willing to be plain. And each color has its own unique appearance, unique place, and wonderful scenery. I feel that knowing myself is the place to discover one's own uniqueness, and then carefully cherish and preserve it.
Authenticity and "Knowing Yourself"
Authenticity is living in the moment, "Knowing yourself" is maintaining your own uniqueness. We will continue to discover new things and new selves. The truth is to accept it without disobedience in the process, and to know ourselves is to maintain our uniqueness in the process.
