film and reality

For a long time, we have been thinking about this question: what is the meaning of film. Commercial films believe that movies are to entertain people and provide entertainment; while some serious directors are constantly trying to tell philosophical truths and discuss the meaning of life through movies.
The Matrix trilogy continues these three questions in a way no one has used it before: "Who am I? Where do I come from? Where do I go?" This is a proposition for all of humanity, no matter what language we speak. , where do we live; whether we are in the closed and backward ancient times, or the present with many tall buildings. These three questions are like the dark clouds covering the earth in the Matrix, hanging over our heads for a long time and not dissipating. They test our wisdom and inspire us to explore the truth bravely, but they are more of a mockery of our ignorance. There is no obvious bridge between real life and the spiritual world, but even in death, we cannot escape the huge "Matrix" of the spirit.
The film tells a story about balance and revolution - the same story has been played out again and again in human history. When a social system is out of balance, there is a revolution, and then the balance is reached again. The difference is that The Matrix also introduces a new concept: virtual and reality.
What exactly is real? Can you tell when you are awake and when you are dreaming? Daxian Kant once put forward such an example: If a person is born with a pair of red glasses, then he will only believe that the color of the world is reddish as he sees it. Therefore, what we see, what we feel, may not be so reliable, and the truth of seeing is believing does not stand up to scrutiny at the philosophical level. The only certainty is the icy numbers. 1+1=2. This is the eternal truth.
So, let's go back to the original question: what is the point of a movie? Can we discuss the philosophical nature of the world in such a fictitious and inaccurate context as cinema? This is a dangerous question, and it would be kitsch to admit that the film can discuss core philosophies. Because all these discussions are based on the director's wonderful, but also full of random and uncertain genius, the lack of precise statistics and logical reasoning, or the characteristics of the film make such soils do not exist at all. But if you think that the movie has no meaning at all, no matter what kind of thinking is invalid, it is unacceptable for all filmmakers in terms of reason and psychology.
Faced with this dilemma, my choice is "sincere". "Sincere" is the only bridge between virtual movies and real life. When a director sincerely starts the production of the film and unabashedly pours his noble and great or evil and vulgar thoughts into the whole film, this film has a real soul, and such sentiment also It can also be felt by the audience and generate sparks in the encounter of souls. We are all born alone. Although we have passed countless people in our lives, there are only a few people who can read your heart and communicate with your soul on an equal footing. Movies have created new opportunities for us. Although we don't know the director, and even we come from different countries and cultures, in watching the movie, the two lonely souls are like old friends who haven't seen each other for many years. And sincere feelings - love, this kind of love is so strong and broad that it transcends all barriers of time, space, and language.
This is existence.

Trinity: What did you just say?

Neo: Nothing. Just had a little déjà vu.

    Trinity: What did you see?

    Cypher: What happened?

Neo: A black cat went past us, and then another that looked just like it.

Trinity: How much like it? Was it the same cat?

Neo: It might have been. I'm not sure.

    Morpheus: Switch! Apoc!

    Neo: What is it?

Trinity: A déjà vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

  • [on the war that devastated the Real World]

Morpheus: We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky. At the time, they were dependent on solar power. It was believed they would be unable to survive without an energy source as abundant as the sun.
