A Song of Ice and Fire

When the play came out, I was deeply attracted by the first few minutes. This is completely different from the storyline of TV dramas I watched in the past. The vast snow field, the towering city wall, the corpses arranged in some sacrificial shape, the corpses that suddenly opened their eyes... The spooky plot, the absurd background, all of which bring the audience deep into the story. ! As the story develops, the little people you thought became the protagonists, but the protagonists you thought were game over, you never know what will happen in the next moment, who will die suddenly and who will come back to life. The visibility of the first few seasons is still quite high, and the overall editing and rhythm control are also very good. Unfortunately, the eighth season is a bit anticlimactic, and the flaws are not concealed. The first four seasons are recommended.

Game of Thrones quotes

  • Stannis Baratheon: We march to victory, or we march to defeat. But we go forward. Only forward.

  • Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish: The realm. Do you know what the realm is? It's the thousand blades of Aegon's enemies. A story we agree to tell each other over and over until we forget that it's a lie.

Lord Varys: But what do we have left once we abandon the lie? Chaos? A gaping pit waiting to swallow us all.

Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish: Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb; they refuse. They cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
