I probably watched this movie for the first time in my freshman or sophomore year. After watching it, I was ignorant, but I was not impressed. At the age of 25, with the mentality of looking for a pearl in the sea, I seriously savored this work again.
The feeling this time is that this movie can attract me to watch it without moving, but it can't penetrate my heart, let alone shock me.
"I admit that there are very few people who will not be moved. As for these few people, I have already summarized them in the previous post. One is that they cannot understand it, and the other is that they are really unmoved. I believe you are the former. You can read more. Discuss more, and watch it after improving the viewing level, if it is the latter, it is really sad."
Seeing such a comment, I can't help but feel a little apprehensive. But after thinking about it, I think I can still hold my chest and say, "Forrest Gump may be a good movie, but it's a good movie that doesn't belong to me.
" The broad, almost impeccable virtues of Forrest Gump, combined with fantastic luck and good fortune, can't help but make me feel strongly alienated.
"Forrest Gump is portrayed as the embodiment of virtue in the film. He is honest, trustworthy, serious, brave, persistent, tenacious, and attaches great importance to feelings. He only knows how to give without asking for anything in return, and he never minds being rejected by others. He is just open-minded and open-minded. Facing life on the ground, he concentrated his only wisdom, faith, and courage on one point, he didn't care about anything, he only knew that he kept running on the road with his intuition. University football field, ran through the quagmire of the Vietnam War, ran through the battlefield of ping-pong diplomacy, ran all over the United States, and finally ran to his end."
"Forrest Gump's success, in a sense, is due to his mild mental retardation and does not know how to calculate wins and losses. The only thing he can do is simply persevere, do it seriously, and execute it foolishly. What is lacking is not 'smart people', but such 'idiots'. Smart people always blame the company and scold their bosses when they encounter problems. Every decision, every order, depends on how much you gain and how much you lose. If it is not cost-effective, you will have a policy above and a countermeasure below. As everyone knows, many things are hard work in the early stage, three-point harvest, and later stage. Only three points of hard work and great harvest. Forrest Gump is not a real fool, a real fool is the one who bullies him. There is only one way for him to succeed - that is to work hard regardless of the cost. The secret of his success lies in his 'Pure' or 'stubbornness'."
In my opinion, Forrest Gump is an adult who has always maintained a child-like nature. He is sincere to people, keeps his promises, obeys orders, filial piety to his mother, and takes care of friends.... Not Saying I don't value these qualities anymore, but I don't believe a "normal" person can hold them forever like Forrest Gump.
Going back to basics, I believe this is the path that most, if not all, should take. I didn't experience confusion, I didn't get confused by "growth", I didn't experience hardships, I didn't feel pain for what choices I made, and I became a Buddha on the spot. guidelines.
If Forrest Gump is the embodiment of virtue, as many critics say, then I think the meaning of this movie is limited to that. It's hard to imagine how much practical significance a film about virtue is.
It's like watching a horror movie for the first time and being scared. The more you watch it, the calmer you become. Maybe I wasn't shocked or moved by "Forrest Gump".
