redemption

I've watched The Shawshank Redemption twice. The plot is so exciting and so enjoyable that I don't know what language to use to describe it. Andy was imprisoned for allegedly killing his wife and lover. Life imprisonment gives the impression that there will be no light in the future. It didn't take long for Andy to try to get close to Reid, who is very prestigious among the prisoners, hoping to get a small hammer. Since then, the two have become friends, and Andy has gradually found his own way of survival. Use his professional knowledge to help prisoners manage tax evasion, money laundering, etc., and at the same time, they are also treated with courtesy. What is particularly memorable is that the prisoners on the rooftop were drinking together, as if they had returned to freedom. In fact, he is really smart. Although he has found his existence there on the surface, he still yearns for freedom. But Reid and the others have adapted to the prison environment. After the old library custodian left, he committed suicide because he could not adapt to the society. . . After a series of jailbreak plans were implemented, Andy succeeded! After a few days, Rhett also went out, but unlike the old man's ending, he chose to move forward and find his old friend, the whole small hotel by the sea, and it was comfortable. .

"This is a must-see movie for men." Everyone said so. But simply distinguishing between genders will make this movie narrow. "Shawshank's Redemption" breaks through the limitations of men's movies, and the whole story is almost full of incredibly warm tone, and the greatest theme in the movie is "hope." When we have no choice but to encounter the kind of jail that imprisoned the freedom of the soul like Shawshank, are we the helpless old Brook, the discouraged Rhett, or the wise Andy? Use wisdom, trust hope, and face fear bravely to defeat it? Classic movies are classic because they are all doing the same thing-allowing you to appreciate the beauty of hope from different angles.

At that year’s Oscars awards ceremony, its brilliance was concealed by the thriving "Forrest Gump", and with the passage of time, the status of this movie in the hearts of more and more people has surpassed "Forrest Gump". Whenever the reality makes me feel so exhausted, I will regain my strength when I turn out this disc. There is no doubt that this film ranks among the top three must-see movies for men! Recalling that classic line: "Some people have such brilliant wings that even the darkest prison in the world can't keep him besieged for long!"

The Shawshank Redemption quotes

  • Red: [narrating] You could argue he'd done it to curry favor with the guards. Or, maybe make a few friends among us cons. Me, I think he did it just to feel normal again, if only for a short while.

  • Captain Hadley: Dufresne!

    [to Dekins]

Captain Hadley: That's him. That's the one.

Guard Dekins: I'm Dekins. I was thinking about setting up some kind of trust fund for my kids' educations.

Andy Dufresne: Oh, I see. Well, why don't we have a seat and talk it over. Brooks, do you have a piece of paper and a pencil? Thanks. So, Mr. Dekins...

Brooks: [at lunchtime to the other prisoners] And then Andy says, "Mr. Dekins, do you want your sons to go to Harvard... or Yale?"

    Floyd: He didn't say that!

Brooks: God is my witness! Dekins just looked at him a second and then he laughed himself silly and afterwards he actually shook Andy's hand.

    Heywood: My ass.

Brooks: Shook his hand! I near soiled myself, I mean all Andy needed was a suit and a tie and a little jiggly hula gal on his desk and he woulda been *Mister* Dufresne, if you please.

Red: Making a few friends, huh Andy?

Andy Dufresne: I wouldn't say friends. I'm a convicted murderer who provides sound financial planning - it's a wonderful pet to have.
