In "The Devotion of Suspect X", the reason why people feel sympathy for the two murderers in the film at the end is their "motive" for killing.
The helpless part of life is that you obviously have no better way, but you are wrong to do so. No one can have the power to deprive anyone of the right to survive, and all murderers should be punished accordingly. Even if the murderer is an absolutely kind-hearted person, and the murdered person is an absolutely hateful scum, it is the same. This is the greatest helplessness in life. So if I get the Death Note, I will rudely kill all the rapists, sadists, etc. who are completely opposite to my moral values, and my behavior is a crime. The problem is that crime and motive are so closely related and so contradictory.

Huagang Yasukyo's motive for killing was to protect his daughter, and Shishen's motive was to protect the mother and daughter who gave him hope of living. The reason for killing is for protection, which sounds ridiculous, but it makes me sad no matter how I think about it. Yukawa said, "Even if I uncover the truth of this case, no one will be able to be happy." So what is even more sad is that everything is over, all efforts have come to nothing, and everyone's ideas and plans are actually is wrong and no one is right. Is it right to bring good people to justice in order to seek justice? Is it right to kill people who have nothing to do with them in order to protect the people they love? No one is right. Shishen said in the letter, "If you can't get happiness, everything I do will be in vain." What he did is to let the mother and daughter live an ordinary life, but in fact the ordinary life has long been broken. Afterwards, everyone will atone for what they did. He can arrange a strict plan and create a perfect alibi, but he can't let Huagang Yasushi live a peaceful life with peace of mind after knowing what he has done for her. He can solve mathematical equations, no matter how difficult, but he cannot solve human nature and beating hearts.
Shishen faced Huagang Yasukiko with tears and apology, ready to pretend that he didn't understand what she meant, and the huge sadness quickly defeated him. I don't know if it is accurate to use the word sadness. When he has planned everything, he can finally achieve his original purpose with peace of mind and let the beloved woman live a peaceful life. All of this was shattered by such a sudden accident and completely vanished. Such a man who lost confidence and hope in life, did not know how to respond to others, and killed someone was easier than doing a simple math problem, his eyes filled with tears in an instant. His chest heaved up and down quickly, and he raised his head, not wanting to let the tears flow down his throat, but involuntarily let out a groan of despair like a trapped beast. He still didn't understand why the woman in front of him was willing to make this perfect sacrifice a ridiculous ending for the so-called atonement. He finally cried out loudly, and his body lost the strength to support him and knelt heavily on the ground, crying so sad and desperate. The last sentence of the novel is described like this, "Ishigami continued to roar, and Kusanagi felt as if he was vomiting his soul." The
story is finally over. People who have watched the movie, how many people hope Ishigami will complete his plan, mother and daughter two People live a happy and peaceful life as usual. How many people think that such murderers should be punished by law. I have no idea. I just like the scenes of Shishen's life after meeting the mother and daughter Huagang Yasuko at the end of the movie.
