If only from the point of view of reasoning work, or I would only give this movie 4 stars. The main ruse was nothing special, and even when Hanaoka presented her near-perfect alibi at first, I had taken into account the great possibility of a time misalignment. But after Shishen's touching confession at the end, the evaluation of the film has risen to an unattainable height in my mind.
That height, not because of reasoning. but the love it speaks of.
When I hummed the ending song "Love さなくていいから, Yuan く で 見 っ て て", I couldn't hold back my tears.
Unexpectedly, the film did not appear Yukawa's signature equation sequence action when he solved the puzzle, the handsome and messy brain scene interaction. Fans who have returned from watching the film have previously heard complaints about the director's ignorance of such an important detail. And I feel that for the tone of the whole movie, it may be the most reasonable arrangement that this scene does not appear.
This time, Yukawa didn't solve all the mysteries. The only equation that could not be solved was the assertion that Utsumi made to this genius at the very beginning. You are inexplicable, love, there is no logic.
It was incomprehensible to him. A man can give up his fascination, all his achievements, his natural ingenuity, for love, and in the end get nothing in return. They are all geniuses, but this genius has reached a height that he cannot reach. It's the same as when climbing. He is always ahead of him. What he seeks is the beauty that he can see when he reaches the top. And at that height he couldn't have more and better feelings than to breathe.
So he cried. This time his why was not answered. The moment the door was closed, he knew there was an impenetrable barrier between them. Even if they have the same intelligence, they will never be able to communicate with each other emotionally. I thought it would be another self. But it turned out to be the most fundamental difference.
His wisdom is used to unravel all the phenomena that the world calls incomprehensible. And his wisdom is used to get happiness for those he loves.
"It turns out that he can already love someone so much..."
This was Yukawa's last sigh. But also the answer to all questions.
He is also a genius like him. And maybe because of luck, maybe because of different nature, he can't think like him as all the fun of life. Or, for him, thinking is just a tool to temporarily forget about loneliness.
When his life was about to be swallowed up by loneliness, he met her. His cold heart was warmed by her smile. On the way he had been alone, a voice called his name.
He has been in love ever since. There are pillars that keep him alive. That power is so powerful. Also so gentle.
So he did too much for her. He tried his best to hide the truth. For her, he could sacrifice the whole world, including himself. And I just want her to be okay.
After knowing some answers, no one will be happy. He said.
However, in the end what he got was her apology. It turned out that no matter how much he paid or sacrificed, one-sided love could never reach the other side of happiness.
"Why? Why? Why..."
Stone God's last cry was so hysterical. How can love make all people happy, and who can answer that question?
I have seen such a sentence:
even if you are not happy, please don't frown, because you never know who will fall in love with your smile.
We never know when and where love will germinate. There are some questions that even Galileo could not answer. It's just that what we can't forget after the tears flow must be the smile.
Because we don't know which heart our smile will send warmth to, and whose life may be brightened by this warmth.
