I thought to myself: Is it possible that the Korean drama, which is famous for its romantic and beautiful creation, has run into an opponent? So, I found this movie and watched it in one go.
There is no ups and downs in this movie. The emotions of the three pairs of characters unfold in parallel, mainly the tricycle driver and the woman in white. The woman in white was originally a prostitute, and she wanted to live the life of the upper class and enter the upper class. The tricycle driver kept silently guarding her, waiting at the door of the hotel until midnight every day, waiting for her to come out and sending her back to her home in the slum. The woman's wish was to sleep in an air-conditioned room until dawn. The driver participated in the bicycle race for her, and opened a room for her in a high-end hotel with the prize money he had exchanged so desperately for her, but he just let her remove the powder, watch her fall asleep, and then quietly Leave. After she was abandoned and humiliated by the rich, the tricycle driver gave her a white traditional long dress, and guided her to meet the future in an upright manner under the beautiful kapok.
The film shows the poor life of the lower-class people, homeless children, lotus-pickers, coachmen, dilapidated streets, and also shows the extravagant life of the upper-class rich people. However, the film continues to show the beauty of human nature, not content with poverty, but the idea of living a good life even in the case of poverty or a broken heart.
Poor children, by selling groceries, survive in the world of adults.
A poor little girl and a little boy are sitting by the roadside on a rainy night and sharing a piece of bread. Silent, but beautiful.
The humble lotus-picking girl has a great insight into life and life, and enlightens the old poet who is about to run out of oil lamps with songs. In the end, the soul of the old poet returns to his homeland and rests on the water covered with white lotuses.
The American retired veteran, and the Vietnamese daughter who became a prostitute, the sorrow of reunion, the memories of farewell, the guilt left over from the Vietnam War, can be relieved.
After watching "Love Three Seasons", my old impression of Vietnam has changed. I really want to go to Vietnam and experience the beauty for myself!
