Build Your Own Season 3

Vietnam's year is divided into dry season and rainy season only.
The three stories are always told in a leisurely manner, accompanied by the soothing soundtrack and the unique folk customs of Vietnam, it seems that you can smell the elegant fragrance of white lotus flowers.
The flower girl scatters white lotus flowers, fulfilling the poet's wish.
The coachman took the prostitute by the hand and walked on the avenue covered with phoenix flowers.
Both homeless and Americans have found what they have lost.
All dreams come true, in that non-existent third season.
Whether it's dry or rainy season, it's not easy for flower girls, coachmen, prostitutes and street children, staring at the hot sun or hustling to survive in the pouring rain. Only in the third season of their own construction, they can be happy.
I still look for a truth, a movie that brings new things to the audience is a good movie. This film was released in 1999, and the background of the story is not explained in the film, so what is shown in front of us should be Vietnam in 1999, a country that is very close to us but has not received attention. A large number of motorcycles, tricycles, and an unformed transportation system, like China in the late 1980s. The film also shows the living conditions of the people of the middle and lower classes in Vietnam.
What impressed me the most was the prostitute on the poster. Her desire is to become rich and out of poverty, both materially and intellectually. On the surface, she was very bright, and it was necessary to return to her dilapidated home alone at night. On a hot dry season day, on the way home, she told the driver who was carrying her that she wished to lie in an air-conditioned room. In the big bed, living such a day. She longed to be a member of the upper class, and planned to get out as soon as she made enough money. She often complained that these men did not respect women, and she thought she was not depraved. But when she found out that she was willing to "dedicate herself" to the driver who paid for it, she realized that she had long since lost her self, the self who doesn't wear makeup and is dressed in white. If it wasn't for the coachman's true love that moved her, I think she would have fallen deeper and deeper.
The homeless boy, Woody, would always stand in the rain in a torn raincoat, pulling the sleeves of passing foreigners to let them buy things. This character is naturally reminiscent of the Indian child in "Slumdog Millionaire" and the Afghan child in "The Kite Runner". They are just as thin and small, and their big eyes are not smart but bright. Perseverance. It's hard to say which of the three films had the better life, all of whom lost their most precious childhoods.
It's hard to say clearly what "Love Three Seasons" wants to express. There is no direct connection between the three bitter but sweet stories, which represent love, ideals, and what is lost and found. These three stories seem to remind people of the existence of the third season. Remind people not to be defeated by the hardships in reality, but to fight for that happy third season on your own.

Three Seasons quotes

  • James Hager: I made many mistakes in my life. That was a long time ago. Have I met the same man I was then? A lot of times past. When a chance comes around to make a wrong a right it's a special thing. But I hoped to make one thing right.
