I thought it would have a happy ending like all heartwarming movies. It wasn't until the last ten minutes that I realized that it wasn't a fairy tale, it was a "sad movie."
The sad movie tells four stories that happen to four groups of characters: mother and child, a lover who is about to get married, a lover who is about to break up, a girl who yearns for a love and her crush. In order to facilitate the retelling, I marked them with the names of the actors:

Their four groups of characters do not fully know each other, but there are some intersections: Lim Soo-kyung and Shin Min-ah are sisters, and firefighter Jung Woo-sung once rescued Shin Min-ah from the fire, and then he and Lim Soo-kyung dated; the cute kid once sat in the park with Cha Tae-hyun. On the swing, the car finally helped the cute child with a message to the mother; Sun Taiying had no direct contact with the other groups, only once Zheng Helin went to the supermarket to buy something, Sun paid them the checkout.
The narratives of sad movies shift and intersect between different groups, presumably because I'm relatively familiar with these actors, so I don't find it confusing. In order to facilitate my recall, I still retell by group.
Lian Jingya is a strong woman, but recently, she has been given a headache by children. The child has a little opinion on the mother and often acts rebelliously, but she doesn't know what the problem is. The teacher showed the mother the child's diary, and the diary only said that she hated the mother, but did not say the reason. Once on the way to take the child to school, the mother had just put the child out of the car and drove away when a car accident occurred and she was hospitalized. The child wrote in the diary that his mother would not work overtime all the time and would lose his temper and beat him. He could see his mother every day. He hoped that her mother would be sick all the time. After reading the diary, the mother finally understood. By chance, the child discovered the mother's previous diary, recording the hardships from her pregnancy to raising him. The child and mother knew each other's heart through the diary, and the mother and son became very harmonious. The phrase "I wish my mother was always sick" turned out to be a spell. The mother had cancer, and it was difficult for the child to accept this fact. When his mother was dying, he asked Cha Tae-hyun to tell her that he had always loved her.
Zheng Yucheng is a firefighter who is dating Miner's sister Xiujing who he saved. Miner's inability to speak may be natural, or it may be caused by the fire. Anyway, Xiujing's profession is a sign language anchor for news programs. Xiujing always wanted Yucheng to propose to her. When Yucheng was about to propose for the first time, the ring rolled in a place where he couldn't find it, causing him to be late and making Xiujing angry. Xiu Jing said that she hoped that after marrying Yu Cheng, Yu Cheng would think about her even when he jumped into the sea of fire. The fire not only brought Min Ah's loss of voice, but maybe also their parents (which is not explained in the movie), so fire is a very scary thing for Soo-kyung, but not for Woo-sung. He was always the bravest and handsomest firefighter. In one news program, it was reported that two firefighters were injured during the firefighting process. Xiujing was frightened to death and rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, Yucheng sat outside the operating room and said, "I'm fine." Yucheng found the ring by accident. , was going to propose to Xiu Jing for the second time, but a fire broke out at a critical moment, and Yu Sung died. Soo-kyung was stunned when she heard the name of Joong Woo-sung, a firefighter who died in the line of duty. She could never see him again. Cha Taixian is an unemployed homeless person who earns a little money by working as a human flesh bag in a boxing gym; Sun Taiying works part-time as a cashier in a supermarket, and she wants to break up with Cha: "Three years, nothing has changed. On a whim, he became a "breakup agent" to "endorsement" for those who want to break up but don't know how to say it. This profession is really good business, and Che seems to see the hope of not breaking up with Sun. But in the end, he received Sun's order and asked him to tell himself: she already had another lover, and hoped that he could find a new lover and live a happy life. After Che finished saying these words to himself in the door glass outside the supermarket where Sun worked, he left his umbrella at the door of the supermarket. When he got off work, Sun didn't bring an umbrella. When he saw the umbrella that was thrown at the door, he opened it. After walking a few steps, she found that there was a section of the umbrella that had no ribs, it was the umbrella of the car.
Min-er can’t speak, and her face has scars from the fire. She played "Snow White" in the amusement park, wearing cute clothes and heavy headgear. Xiu Jing and Woo Sung once said that they would introduce a boyfriend to her, but she said no, she already had a boyfriend. She likes a handsome boy who often comes to the amusement park to paint, picks up the painting tools on the ground for him, and helps him move the chair and easel to a shady place, but she never wants to take off the hood in front of him; The handsome boy became more and more curious about what she looked like. He drew a lot of imaginary "Snow White" without a hood. In order to encourage Miner, "Seven Dwarfs" called the handsome boy the eighth dwarf, and arranged a meeting for them. Miner put on heavy makeup for this meeting; and the dwarfs still put on a bright light on the scarred side of Miner. Miner sat there waiting for the handsome boy to draw her. The handsome boy said, "You are more beautiful than I thought." The handsome boy knew that Miner couldn't speak. After the painting, Min Er ran to the bathroom to wash off the makeup, sat in front of the boy, and said (actually wrote) to help me paint again. The handsome boy said, I will go abroad for training next month, Miner said in her heart, I know, fool, so I want you to draw again. She put a hood on the handsome boy's head and finally hugged him.
Finally finished. so tired. Time and time again, the director makes the things we don't want come true, and the things we want never come to pass. We don't want the child's saying "I hope my mother is always sick" to be true, and it has become a fact, and it is an incurable disease; we don't want Woo Sung to be killed in a fire, but he still died; We hoped that Woo Sung would successfully propose, but he didn't; we didn't want Cha Tae Hyun to "speak" for his breakup, but it happened; we hoped that handsome boy would fall in love with Min Ah, but the love didn't happen.
Everything is not what we imagined. I can't yet guess why the director chose these four groups of characters. Because if it is another director, he may use more symbolic characters: childhood, youth, youth, middle age and even old age. When watching "Sad Movie", sometimes I have a hallucination: like watching "Yi Yi". Life, old age, sickness and death, can not ask, love parting. I want to understand what life is like.
The tears that shed the most while watching the drama were for Miner. He seemed to see himself in her. A flawed, low self-esteem, lonely and optimistic girl. She said in her heart that she loved the job, she looked in the mirror and felt the scar on her face, and the dwarfs told her he was only the eighth dwarf. When my sister and Woo Sung were angry, she shouted in the living room, "You can at least say I love you." This was the only time she made her own voice in the play. At that moment, I burst into tears. In order to see him, she covered her face with thick powder, and he saw her and praised her for her beauty. But she still told him her true self and said goodbye to him. We can imagine that she is sadder than anyone else. The director did not let the fairy tale happen. Because that's the reality.
