Lee Byung-hun's film, which won the Korea Grand Prize, is a crime drama, exposing the dirty deeds of South Korean political and business media gangsters and the complex human nature of different classes and roles.
An impressive scene: When prosecutor Wu Jiangxun, played by Cao Chengyou, took An Sangjiu, a gangster played by Li Bingxian, to hide in his house, he opened the door and saw a rack of old bookshelves and densely packed books. When he was placed in the prosecutor's room after dinner, he saw a note on the wall that said "If you are walking in hell, you must go straight."
When I saw this note, I was shocked. When Wu asked An for the original evidence, An was smoking a cigarette in silence, and I thought of this sentence when talking about my father; in the
last few minutes, the movie began to reverse, and it was apparently under coercion. This sentence came to mind when prosecutor Wu Jiangxun, who was suspended and sought background support to take the position as an insider, held a press release to reveal the facts.
This sentence conveys the belief in the heart of the protagonist. In the end, it seems that the gangster who seems to be for revenge and the prosecutor who seems to be in charge break the powerful and dirty relationship network and win the final victory. In fact, it is a victory full of good expectations for the future world. ✌️
