Seemingly wonderful comeback and irony, in fact it is still sad despair

It's a heroic story about people from two worlds fighting against each other.

For their own selfish reasons, two little people embark on a selfless path of justice and revenge against the systemic darkness

In the end, at the cost of sacrificing a certain freedom, in exchange for sin and punishment

The film's rich details and diverse characters depict a dark and hopeless political system

The underworld, the hypocritical pen, the actual controller of the consortium, the puppet councilor on the stage, a group of friends, assistants, thugs, and secretaries interspersed

From top to bottom, there is no justice, only collusion and interests, and based on this premise, the film has given full play to the imagination, and the film has constructed the dirty side of the top-level glamorous society

We don't know whether this is the case in South Korea's actual society, but what is depicted in this world of light and shadow is "real" enough

For all oppressed audiences looking for truth and justice, the darker the world is, the better the explanation and attribution of its own injustices

The more empathetic the audience is

From the plot point of view, two little people, one is a former insider, the other is an outsider, trying to break through this situation, one for revenge, one for promotion

One is a gangster, the other is a gangster-like prosecutor, neither of them are real heroes, but after all, they all turn into heroes with a "justice" halo

Looking at the arc of the characters, one is a prodigal son and the other is a lonely hero, both of which are typical romantic hero roles.

The plot mode is also relatively familiar. The protagonist tries to overturn the shady curtain, but he does not want to hit the south wall, let him die, become an insider, and successfully break through layers of coverage.

But they each deviate from the old path, those who seek money and loyalty lost their friends and freedom, those who are determined to be promoted directly abandon their official positions, and when they meet again, they just smile tacitly.

Such a result seems to be an active choice, but in the final analysis, it is still weak. It only opened a corner of the shady scene, and did not really see the light, so in the end it became a complete outsider.

From his personal point of view, it is really bright, but it is only his own person. For the gangsters who have been safe for a long time, and still have a first-time entry, the picture is bright, and the sun is dazzling when the overall situation is determined. brilliance

For prosecutor Yu Zhangxun, the real light is only when he no longer looks at that situation and becomes a civil lawyer, and he has never been warm even on his father's side.

In addition, in the final monologue given by the director to Li Jiangxi, it was even more clearly implied: "The bureau" is still there, but you are no longer insiders.

Many people watched this film, compared with domestic ones, but felt that Koreans were particularly daring to make such a politically shady film, blackening their government from beginning to end.

But judging from this film, the director actually knows his country, and even if he made such a brilliant film, he still feels hopeless.

If it wasn't for despair, why would you think about solving the problem like this? If you think it's possible, you won't use such a romantic hero full of fantasy to break the game.

Just like India's national conditions, there are filmmakers like Aamir Khan, who can't find a way to break the problem from realism, and can only rely on the myth of heroes.
