Although 1942 was tragic, at least there was still "famine" to escape and food to beg. It was better than 1959 when people were forced by guns not to escape the famine and not to go out begging for food. Selling sons and daughters is tragic, but in 1959, there was no freedom to sell sons and daughters. It was not even more miserable to force countless people to eat their own sons and daughters. In ancient times, there was "eating by changing sons", but in 1959, it was impossible to even "change sons", and they could only eat their own flesh and blood.
