Everything is expected

Yesterday, I watched this movie at midnight and probably fell asleep several times towards the end. Since this film is mainly intended for foreign audiences, the vulgar plot can be forgiven. From the beginning to the end of the movie, there is "fighting" that runs through it, such as mantis boxing, fuhu boxing, crane boxing, snake boxing, drunken boxing...Foreign movie fans who like Chinese Kongfu believe that they will return with satisfaction.

Today's movies have added too many computer special effects, combined with the dense drum beat, and it feels like playing is just playing, without the sense of humor that comes from martial arts in Jackie Chan's early movies.

The Forbidden Kingdom quotes

  • Lu Yan: A musician can have Kung Fu, or the poet who paints pictures with words and makes emperors weep, this too is Kung Fu.

  • The Silent Monk: Learn the form, but seek the formless. Hear the soundless. Learn it all, then forget it all. Learn The Way, then find your own way.
