Xu Qinhao's movie has only seen "August Photo Studio", only one film. It is unforgettable.

The picture is warm yellow, but there is non-stop rain, which tells a dark story leisurely.

At the beginning of the story, the hero is already seriously ill and is finally confirmed to be terminally ill until he dies. But no matter what happens, the male protagonist always smiles tenderly, takes medicine quietly, and can't see the shadow of sadness no matter how he looks, including arranging funerals alone.

He was waiting to die, but he waited for a female traffic policeman.

The relationship between the two is ambiguous.

Every time he saw her, he would have a bright smile on his face.

As she passed by, she always looked at the photo studio, where there was a man who loved to smile at her.

No one picked it out, and it was ambiguous all the way.

He suddenly fell ill and was taken to the hospital.

He worked hard to recover and ate two more bites of food. However, when he was discharged from the hospital, it was a letter and a wall of broken glass.

She was gone, transferred to another district with disappointment and anger.

He wrote her a reply, but it was returned.

He went to see her, behind the glass wall. He saw her, but she didn't pay attention to him. Seeing her smile, he left silently.

Then, he took a photo of himself and continued to wait for his death.

He monologues: "I know very well that the feeling of love will fade, just like the old photos." But you will always stay in my heart, forever beautiful, until the last moment of my life. Thank you. Goodbye. "

This film is meant to be deep.

If you love her, don't let her know. What can you do if you know? Her happiness is her greatest joy.

How can people not be depressed?

A moth to a flame is a moment of beauty...

Love is eternal.

Christmas in August quotes

  • Jung-won: [Sitting on a rubber tire in his old school playground] When I was a kid I always sat alone in the playground after the other boys had gone. Thinking about my late mother, it struck me that we'd all disappear in the end... my father, my sister, all my best friends.

  • [last lines]

Jung-won: [narrating] I always knew that feelings of love would fade - just like old photographs. But for you... you will always remain in my heart, as you are in my last moment. Thank you, and goodbye.
