Emerald Farce

A real domestic high-quality film, a real absurd comedy. I only knew about this movie before, but never watched it. I watched this film after watching "The Unknown", only to find that "The Unknown" is indeed incomparable to this film. It is also a low-cost dialect film, and at the same time it is labeled as an absurd comedy, "Crazy". "The Stone" really makes people feel absurd.

The whole film revolves around an 8 million jadeite. Multiple characters stage a farce around the stone. When the characters regard real stones as fake stones and fake stones as real stones, there is a strong sense of absurdity. Another source of absurdity is that stone guards and stone thieves meet but do not know each other, and silently plan their own affairs in their hearts, so that the audience has the absurdity of wanting to expose their true colors.

The characters in it die cleanly and neatly, somewhat similar to Pulp Fiction. The plot is very neat, not a single plot is superfluous. Layer upon layer, Xie Xiaomeng cheated the old man with money to pave the way for the old man not to save him. The cigarette butts fell on the exhibition cabinet and left traces to pave the way for Shihong's discovery that jadeite had been passed over. The structure is rigorous, and the layer-by-layer advancement is moving.

There is really something in this film. The recent high-scoring dark horses "I'm Not the God of Medicine" and "The Unknown" are still far from each other. On the contrary, Xin Yukun's "The Labyrinth of Heart" has a bit of flavor, but it still pales in comparison to Ning Hao's "Crazy Stone".
