I first watched this movie because of Jean Reno. There should be many people like me who have a different plot for him. "The Killer Is Not Too Cold" is too classic, and the image of Jean Reno is too deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
Some people jokingly call "Summer in Provence" "the old life of killer Lyon", but in fact, the two have nothing to do with each other. At the beginning of the movie, it is a very cute little boy who takes a nap against the train window. Even if his brother and sister are arguing with his grandmother, he still produces a picture quietly. He is a child who can't speak.
They are Paul's (Jean Reno) wife and three grandchildren whom he has never met. Seventeen years ago, his only daughter chose love and chose to leave for Paris. Now her daughter has suffered an emotional accident. Without her grandfather's knowledge, her grandmother brought her three children to Provence.
My grandfather lived in a small town in Provence. At first, the three children could not feel the beauty of this paradise, and they did not like each other with this grandfather.
This grandfather who is "not easy to mess with" at first sight, although he looks like a cold-faced Guan Gong and even has a "poisonous tongue", but he takes his grandchildren to watch the game together and travel through the fields together, which is really lovely. The first to capture the heart of the little grandson, he clumsily and cutely drew the big bull bullying the calf to the little grandson, dragged him to watch the bullfight, the little grandson played in the pool, and the grandfather repaired the car for the little grandson. That picture was quite warm, maybe when the little grandson held his big hand for the first time, his defense system still collapsed.
The eldest grandson secretly registered his facebook for his grandfather, and he was surprised and delighted by the sudden visit of an old friend. At that moment, Jean Reno showed the mixed feelings in his heart vividly and delicately. Grandpa was also young, and he also had a bohemian youth. It was a crazy and beautiful thing to ride a motorcycle to travel between countries.
No matter how stalwart his body is, there is a softness hidden in his body. This memory, which is not easily opened, has drawn the distance between him and his eldest grandson. He patiently told his grandson about the olive tree, all of which he once shared with his only daughter. As I have told in full, the daughter I haven't seen in seventeen years is such a strong longing buried deep in my heart. In fact, the grandfather and the great grandson have many similarities. Although they are often vicious, they always care about the people around them silently. Perhaps because of this, they have another kind of unspoken sympathy between them that is different from others.
For the granddaughter, the protection is even tighter, but the one who is the least obedient, the plot is somewhat similar to 17 years ago. The granddaughter who thinks he is in love is bold and absurd. The grandfather is afraid that the granddaughter will repeat the same mistakes, but he does not want to slap the granddaughter to choose to run away from home with her boyfriend. Unexpectedly, this so-called "boyfriend" is not a "good boy", and secretly reselling banned drugs. After learning the news, Gao Gong rode on a motorcycle, carried a shotgun, and brought his granddaughter back alone. He did not scold her, nor did he tell her the truth. He told her the love story between himself and his grandmother, and encouraged her to continue to believe in love. .
When the three children were sent back, the quarrel with the daughter who had not seen her for 17 years was relieved. A happy ending.
What I like most about this movie is the kind of living environment, simple and pure. Perhaps because I grew up in the countryside when I was a child, I can better understand the warmth and delicacy of the seemingly rude and barbaric way of life. This movie has a kind of magic, a kind of feeling that everything around you is beautiful after watching it, and no matter how bad the mood is, it will become very good. It truly heals our hearts. I recommend everyone to watch it.
