The movie is really a time and space shuttle. I was taken to the 2004 "Summer in Provence" in the afternoon in the spring of 2020. My thoughts crossed the mountains and seas, traveled through time, and harvested the warmth of a village in Provence in southern France that summer.
The grandfather, like a hedgehog, was initially stubborn toward the grandson and granddaughter he had never met, but when he parted at the end of the summer, he said that this was the best summer he had ever spent, and said "thank you" awkwardly and gently.
The night Grandpa and Grandma's young friends came to visit, a group of wrinkled, gray-haired late-twilight people sat around drinking and singing Bob Dylan's Forever Young. Grandpa seems to have something on his mind, maybe it's a memory of his deceased brother, but it's just a memory of his youth!
When you are getting old, will there be a wonderful summer with grandchildren? Have an unforgettable night where old friends gather to reminisce about the past and sing indulgently?
