You really have to admire Zhou Xingchi. In fact, the theme of the film is very serious. The lines against the second generation of officials and the explicit lines of fox fake tiger power all use "My old bean to be an official" as a slogan.
But Stephen Chow's comedy tension made the audience forget this seriousness. Coupled with Wang Jing's usual shooting method, funny and beautiful, he never missed a shot when Hong Kong-made films were rampant. He likes to put some sensitive words of the times in the movie for the audience to laugh and scold. The "God of Gamblers 2" that I remember is quite large!
But to tell the truth, there are many scenes that are unreasonable from today's perspective, but they are better than the blessing of the king of comedy and the performance of a group of comedy faces. It has become a family comedy today. It's the best ending.
PS. Zhang Min has only a few shots with clean makeup, but it is already earth-shatteringly beautiful.
