Lily or Nina is a too strong being, they always use a way they think is right to be nice to others. Lily's pity for Snowflake, Nina's sacrifice for Sophia.
Sophia said to Nina "Do I want you to worry about me". Nina walked away disappointed. She didn't look back at Sophia, maybe even if she did, she wouldn't understand. She wouldn't understand that this was Sophia's sacrifice for her.
Nina wrote Sophia's name on the college entrance examination paper. She thought this was good for Sophia, but it hurt Sophia to return to Korea, and she couldn't go to university because of it.
She told Sophia that she was ready to pass up the chance to go to New York out of fear. In fact, in a dark corner of her heart, she may not even know that she may just hope to get Sophia's gratitude and satisfy her own sense of accomplishment. But Sophia rejected Nina's sacrifice in her own way.
Snowflake said to Lily, "Your esteemed husband never said that she loves you," but Lily said that she just wanted to help her through this difficult time. Lily has been emphasizing that fate can be changed, yes, fate can be changed. Lily married into a wealthy family and got a good life. And Xuehua's family declined and married a butcher. The worlds of the two old men were completely turned upside down. When Lily appeared in front of Snowflake with a sense of superiority, Snowflake began to embrace her.
Snowflake didn't want to be a burden to Lily, so she sent the last letter to Lily. She knew Lily too well and knew how to make Lily not care about her. There is not a word in the entire Nvshu that says to cut off the relationship, but only that there are three Jinlan sisters. Lily's jealousy and possessiveness do not allow Xuehua to have other sisters, and together they want the maid to burn all the Nushu.
The whole movie is about the tragedy of one person, Lily, or Nina. She hurts her closest sister with her self-righteous giving. And then saddened again with the gesture of being hurt. She had never understood Snowflake's world.
Xuehua kept secrets alone, guarded the secret fans that recorded their affection, and paid silently.
Sophia searches for the secrets of her past in a dilapidated rental house by herself and records their feelings.
The end of the film is very abstract. Snowflake and Lily are female celebrities on a terrace in Shanghai in the 21st century. They look back at Nina and smile. At first I thought it was Nina's monologue, but I found out that it was Lily's. The lines full of modern literature and art summarize an ancient affection two hundred years ago, perhaps this is the expression that the director deliberately wanted. No matter how time passes, those feelings will always settle and never change.
As a female movie, "The Secret Fan of Snowflakes", as long as someone can learn to cherish the friends around them because of this movie, and can understand what feelings come from the heart, I think this movie will be a success.
And in my opinion, the movie was a success.
"Snowflake Fan", because the fan is made of snowflakes.
The lily on the poster is the lily who finally understands Snowflake's affection for her after a twist and turns, and repents after picking up the secret fans she has abandoned.
