At least this is a serious film. It is a little bland but it is also a complete success. Although it lacks Li Shaohong's gorgeous rhetoric, Zhang Yimou's elegant vision, and Li An's philosophical plot, it does have a display of Confucius's cultural dedication- It's just that individual shots and plots went too far!
