Chow Yun-fat's performance is considered to be in place and restrained, but the mediocre narrative ability exposed by the director and screenwriter in the listing of events makes the film uninspired and tedious. From Huangsandu to being expelled to exile to Huilu, the director exerts even force and lacks relaxation. I only see events, not "people".
