Chasing the Dragon, just looking at these two words, before I watched the movie, I thought it was an inspirational movie where the male protagonist succeeded through his own efforts, but the situation was very different from what I thought. By watching the easter eggs, this movie seems to be a documentary that tends to be realistic. But the whole film is full of corruption, drug smuggling, and deformed brotherhood. I will mention this in detail about the deformed brotherhood below, and then I will talk about my views on Chasing the Dragon.
In the movie, Fat Boy Chao once defined him. He thought it was dp. After people smoked it, he was like a fairy, and that taste was called a dragon by him. But I seem to have discovered another definition after watching the movie, it is called power. Aside from looking at drugs and negative things, this film tells the story of Po Hao and Luo Ge from a gangster to a detective to the pinnacle of Chinese rights in Hong Kong. The word "Chasing the Dragon" may be a mockery or warning of Director Wang Jing's unscrupulous pursuit of fame, fortune and wealth in today's society, warning them that like Po Hao and Luo Ge, they will regard power as DP, and become more and more addicted. The final result just fell into the legal net. From this perspective, perhaps this is a film that criticizes reality.
Let's talk about the plot. The whole movie is based on Wu Shihao's main line from beginning to end. It is undeniable that the plot in it attracted me a bit, but it woke me up even more. As a contemporary young man born in the 1995s who grew up under the red flag, he was surrounded by the courage and skill of a drug lord. He and Luo Ge, Dawei and Serena Attracted by the brotherhood between them. This means that I recognize him to a certain extent, a big drug lord who has destroyed countless families and separated his wives and children. I thought deeply about this, why would a drug lord attract me?
First of all, what reminds me is brotherhood. The feeling of trusting each other in life and death and helping each other in difficulties is what fascinates me the most as a 20-something. Poho is a heinous drug lord, but also a brother who can relate. But he is not a good big brother, not a good guide. Do brothers just believe in each other and blindly follow each other? As a big brother, he did not lead his brother on the right path at a critical moment. Maybe it will be a momentary glory, maybe there will be no regrets, but the final result will only make people sigh. Good brothers, not just unconditional support, but more importantly, mutual support, constant supervision and reminding each other not to go down the road of no return, and this is particularly important, which is why I say that they are a deformed brotherhood.
I originally wanted to talk about Luo Ge, after all, Po Hao broke his leg for Luo Ge and Luo Ge finally gave up his life to save Po Hao, which made me a little moved. And Luo Ge's style of always doing things according to the rules is very appreciated by me, after all, there are no rules and no square. but. . . It's so late, so I'll talk less, get ready to go to bed, and I'll talk about this movie later when I have a chance. . .
If you read my film review and rest early in the evening, few people may watch it. . .
