It's a very good movie. The relationship between Lai Luo and Wu Shihao, the struggle between gangs, and the corruption of the British police superintendent are all there. It really looks like Wang Jingjin's work for several years. The actors are also well-chosen, and Andy is still so handsome. It's hard to find this flavor in Hong Kong films now. However, I personally feel that the plot is too rushed. It is two hours long, and many parts are covered in one stroke. If it is shot in two parts, some parts may be more detailed, and it may be more comfortable to watch. Chasing Long Er is indeed quite different from this.
