Just finished watching the long-awaited "Kung Fu King"; I am naturally prepared for movies that even Jackie Chan himself says are "stupid" I went, but I was still shocked, and I can only lament that the cultural gap is completely insoluble. It's as if you have a hard time arguing with a farmer in the southern United States that "sesame chicken" could not be the best Chinese dish at all.
Jackie Chan and Jet Li’s fight were very good, Li Bingbing’s nine-yin and bone claws were also very good, Liu Yifei’s double knives were also very good, and the few sticks played by the white little ghost looked good. But it is far from the impressive few Keanu Reeves played in "The Matrix". Director Yuan has worked hard, but to tell the truth is not good enough.
The story of the film is completely inconsistent, pieced together, without logic, even the editing is a mess. Of course, the style is purely lively and entertaining, and the effect is basically achieved. It’s weird that the main line of the little white man is placed among a bunch of Chinese people, but there is no way to do it for the American audience; Lao Li and the big brother actually made a nonsense joke (related to Yuyu) that is incompatible with the whole film. After laughing, I still can't figure it out. However, as the first collaboration between Lao Li and Cheng, such a thing is really shabby.
This movie brings together many elements of traditional Chinese mythology, martial arts, and Kung Fu stories, and the kneaded works are just like the grocery store in Chinatown-where the Chinese basically don't buy it, and the old beauties look curious. What are the things in this grocery store? I have listed five major items and several small items, let’s take a look:
Item #1: The Monkey King/The Monkey King/Monkey King
Everyone on earth knows that the Monkey King here is played by Lao Li. How's the effect? If I had water in my mouth, I would spray it early. It is logical to say that there should be pheasant feathers on the forehead of the Monkey King, but it has a golden pony tail combed. Where is the Monkey King? It is obviously Huang Laoxie transformed into a monkey. What is even more irritating is that Lao Li's monkey stick is short of breath, not elegant, and does not have the slightest aura. I wonder if Yuan Heping has never played a monkey stick before, or Lao Li is really past the age of a monkey stick. The old Americans naturally don't know that "The Monkey King" is just a nickname, and they also have names and surnames. In order to keep the old Americans from scratching their heads in the shortest possible time, the English dialogue is always "The Monkey King"; and in the Chinese dialogue that accounts for about 15% of the film, the villain leader Zou Zhaolong mentioned "The Monkey King". Three words. Fighting and defeating the Buddha, if his old man has spirit in the sky, he should breathe a sigh of relief.

Wow the white-haired witch ! I never thought Li Bingbing was pretty, but I always felt that she was not atmospheric enough. But this powerful, young, low-cut, kung fu, white-haired witch who speaks fairly pure American English and Chinese Mandarin has calmed the screen in several appearances. It can be called the biggest bright spot outside of Double J-or simply "Kung Fu Zhi Zhi" The biggest highlight of "The King". Although the trailer and MV have been watched many times, the appearance of the white-haired witch Li still brought me the undefeated surprise of Lin Dongfang. How can it be a "wow!" !
Item #3: Punch
The credits filled with posters of countless old-fashioned Hong Kong martial arts films and Bruce Lee films clearly pay tribute to these pioneers of kung fu movies. "Fist" is one of the most important elements in Kung Fu movies; therefore, various fist moves are emerging in "The Forbidden Kingdom".
Accessories #3-1: Drunken Master
misses the classmates of Jackie Chan and Lu Huiguang in "Drunken Master II" very much. You don't have much luck. Most of the Drunken Masters here are just posing. I insisted until the end of the cast and crew list, but did not see the name of "Heroes"/Zhang Liangying/Sanjiao Cool. It seems that it is just the theme song of the Chinese version.
