The film touches on the sensitive topics of South and North Korea, including the North Korean nuclear issue and illegal stay and the assassination of North Korean traitors. The director and screenwriter cooperated with each other to focus on the two ordinary people, presenting the emotional truth behind the big event with their own personalities and delicate angles.

It really came for Kang Dong Won in the beginning.

It can be seen from the content of the respective phone calls of the two protagonists at the beginning, ah~ it turns out that they have a family... and the two of them hang up the phone in a hurry, and they can feel a kind of conflict and contradiction.

What are they doing? What are they doing? Are they their own? Countless questions came to mind. Kang Dong Won...is he an undercover agent?

The film clarifies the respective identities of the protagonists through battles and dialogues. The policeman played by Song Kanghao is just and candid, while the North Korean spy played by Jiang Dongyuan reveals a trace of cowardice and warmth in every detail. Lots of contradictions.

Because of the failure of the confrontation 6 years ago, Song Kanghao, who failed to arrest the number one red-hot element, was forced to be laid off and started a business of finding illegal stranded people, and Jiang Dongyuan was also suspected of being a traitor because of the betrayal of his companion 6 years ago. Returning to North Korea, he had to remain in South Korea while saving money to try to secretly transfer his family from North Korea. The two who hadn't met in 6 years met again, and for different purposes, both pretended not to know each other, and they didn't know whether their identities were seen through by the other.

In order to find out the number one red-hot element named "Shadow", Song Kanghao deliberately let Jiang Dongyuan enter his company in order to find "Shadow". Jiang Dongyuan entered this company looking for people to make money, and at the same time carefully monitored Song Kanghao everywhere.

In the long-term relationship, they understand and trust each other. When Kang Dong-won's identity is revealed to be under arrest by the police, "Shadow" appears, and he proves his loyalty by asking Kang Dong-won to kill a renegade North Korean spy, who was Kang's mentor.

At the same time, Song Kanghao also tried his best to help Jiang Dongyuan not be arrested by the police.

But when he really wanted to do it, Jiang Dongyuan hesitated, he didn't want to hurt anyone, and he wouldn't betray the country. And in fact he did.

When he was tricked by "Shadow" into saying that his family had been dealt with by North Korea, he finally chose to die with "Shadow".
When he was dying, he said to Song Kanghao, "I have not betrayed anyone in the end"...
Under the incandescent light, Jiang Dongyuan was sent to the hospital.
I have been praying that it would not be a tragedy... Fortunately, the director fulfilled my wish, and HAPPY ENDING is over. Song Kang-ho went to England to meet his daughter, and Kang Dong-won was also reunited with his wife and children, and the two met on the plane.

It's not bad, you can see, Jiang Dongyuan is very handsome~

North and South themes, the growing friendship between two opposite men. Overall, it's still a bit tepid, and several emotional asymptotic scenes are not good enough. As a brainless fan, I'm basically satisfied with Uncle Cake's performance.
