Despite the lowest expectations, "Fast and Furious 9" still disappointed me.
It’s not just this movie that I’m disappointed with, but I have almost no experience of watching movies this year that gave me a sense of satisfaction. It was originally a movie theater like the "Holy Land", but it gave me "negative feedback" time and time again.
Look forward to the two films on May 27th, you guys are the most reliable.
01 A brother fell from the sky
What annoys me most about this episode is the story layout. The ending subtitles seem to say that the story is Lin Yibin's original.
Do you still use originality for this kind of story? A weapon capable of destroying the world has emerged, and Dominic’s younger brother, who did not know where he came from, acted as a thug's thug, all over the world to get weapons and control the world.
It just happened that their brothers didn't deal with it, so the official business turned into a personal grievance. The racing family and the villain opened various maps and started racing, finally snatching the weapon.
I don’t blame "Super 9" if the story is mediocre. Generally, the ninth movie is filmed, and the creative routines have long been used up. Moreover, the series of films can only dig deep within the existing framework to open up an irrelevant story, and the audience is still unwilling to buy it.
A clever movie will focus the camera on a brilliant supporting role (the entry point can be when someone gets into trouble, pulls out the big conspiracy behind it, and then the racing family all come forward to level it out), but Van Diesel, who is also a producer, seems I want to focus more on Dominic, who I play, and would rather make a younger brother out of thin air than portray other people.
So although there are many starring roles in "Quick Exclamation", most of them are instrumentalists . In the past, Paul was still able to balance, but now he is more blatant. A bite of a "family" is actually a fake, and the two bald heads that are slightly brilliant are immediately squeezed out to play extravagance.
In addition to "Brother Terrier", the movie trailer also released two "surprises", namely Han's resurrection and Mia's return.
Out of curiosity, the audience will find that they are expecting a loneliness. Apart from harvesting a wave of feelings, this return has no logic or meaning. Such a movie does not require a rigorous screenwriter, but first put forward the elements that attract the eye, and then roughly connect these propaganda points .
02 Nonsensical Science Fiction Movies

Su Mo disagrees. Director Lin's "Super 5" is an excellent work that balances the script and the scenes. Why did the ninth move lower the standard?
Moreover, just looking at the big scenes, "Super 9" also failed.
It's not that the action scenes of the movie are not well shot, but the main creative team led by Lin Yibin and Van Diesel misunderstood the biggest selling point of the "Quick Excitement" series, and the movie style is completely off the track.
Starting from the fourth part, the completion of the "impossible drag racing" has become a tradition of "quick excitement". Whether it’s the Rio robbery or the airdrop of cars, whether it’s sinking a submarine or a wave of zombie vehicles, although they are absolutely impossible, they still adhere to a "so-called real" logic of reality.
In this episode, I think you’re exaggerating while driving on a swing, but what is it like driving to outer space? Even in a series like "Quick Exclamation" that released itself, tying a few tapes to a spacewalk, it is also a silly joke that damages the bones of the series.
"Quick Excitement" from the first three pure racing, four to eight mouth-cannon-style action movies, finally transitioned to a nonsensical sci-fi superhero blockbuster.
The movie also used Roman's mouth to complain about ourselves, saying that we are all immortal (except for the woman who paid too much).
Even if Su Mo takes a step back and I accept all the messy designs above, the big scene of "Super 9" is also a step backward. Because Lin Yibin's rhythm controlled a major accident this time.
In the plot part, the flashback cuts the narrative to pieces, and it hasn't played any role yet .
It is especially obvious that Dominic fell into the water, Van Diesel had no acting skills, and a large amount of meaningless flashbacks. In the last paragraph, the racing family escaped from the base. When Dominic woke up, everyone returned to the base for a meeting. Why did they run before? This transition is harder than diamond.
The same problem appears in the big scene. Although each segment of the drag racing takes a long time, it lacks arrangement and does not have a clear structure such as "crisis emerges-resolved-upgraded-resolved again".
The same scene recurs, with a magnet prop being used from beginning to end. If Lin Yibin really thinks this idea is fun, then he should cover it in front of him and release it at the critical moment.
The big scenes full of screens in the later stage of "Transformers" can also make people aesthetically tired. "Super 9" is also uncontrollable. If you don't know how to raise the threshold slowly, if the tune is too high, then you have to bite the bullet and sing a key to the end.
03 The end of an era
The "Fast and Furious" series has not really been a big seller.
Two days ago, I checked the return on investment of the "Quick Exclamation" series and discovered that "Super 6", the film's global box office was only 779 million U.S. dollars. Although it is a blockbuster movie, it is still far behind the top IP.
"Super 7" because of Paul's departure, Wen Ziren will say goodbye, and the film's box office directly doubled to 1.515 billion. "Super 8" chased after the victory, the investment increased by 30% (250 million US dollars), but the box office fell back to 1.236 billion.
In addition, the box office of the next few movies are all overseas surpassing North America, which is very telling.
Su Mo didn't mean that "Quick Exclamation" was consuming Paul, but after so many years, he still secretly pulled Brian out and attracted some cheap veterans to sell his feelings. It was a calculation that made people disdain.
Regardless of the results of "Super 9", "Super 10" and "Super 11" will definitely be released, at most some adjustments in strategy and investment, but I am very happy that there will be no more "Super 12".
Every story has a lifespan, it is not realistic to keep shooting.
The 007 series has changed actors many times, which is equivalent to multiple restarts; the series of many films such as Alien, Godzilla, Star Wars, and Avengers are actually expansions under the same movie universe. " Quick Exclamation" has taken so many of the same characters, and now it's time to stop.
