Rather than extolling the perseverance, loyalty, and excellent "great" character of North Korean agents, the director is teasing the extreme "foolish loyalty" of these agents and the extreme stupidity of the North Korean official.
The problem is that these are all illogical. Why are they so loyal that they are willing to be reduced to task machines? Why do they still choose not to betray and even delusional pursuit of the "great" maternal love, friendship and possible love of South Korea that was already within reach after they knew the truth of being deceived and fooled?
Their secrets are not secret enough, and their "greatness" can only be seen full of irony, contempt and disdain.
The problem of North Korea is really a good question worth exploring. I am afraid that such a movie with countless private goods can be forgotten.
