Science fiction is obviously not the theme of the film, and exploring the relationship between people is the core of the film. As everyone who exists alone, what kind of person each person needs most to accompany, this film is based on this stubborn old man who is addicted to theft and has memory problems as a case, to start associations and discussions. In addition, the old man has been reluctant to erase the memory of the robot. Part of the reason is that as a person with memory problems, he knows the importance of memory to a person. In his opinion, the robot has long been a person, that is, his Existing as a partner, erasing his memory is equivalent to obliterating the existence of the partner.

An overestimated movie, obviously a good subject matter, the emotion between the elderly and the robot, but abruptly pulls out the strange clue that the old man is a thief. Aside from the handsome son of the old man and the nice voice of the robot, if I can tell the story of the relationship between the old man and the robot from ignoring to being reluctant to leave, I will give it four stars.

Not loud, not sharp, just a little thought provoking. Finally he said, "my son did better than his old man."

Robot & Frank quotes

  • Frank: [to Robot] It's perfection! We know there is something worth stealing. we know when to go in, how to get in and how to get out. It would be a crime *not* to do it.

  • Frank: [to Jennifer] How do you know this whole thing isn't just one big scam?
