As soon as the animal world was released, it was robbed of almost all the topic by the subsequent medicine gods. Although the schedule arrangement is one of the reasons for its unsatisfactory box office, it cannot simply attribute the problem to the schedule and refuse to look directly at the problems of the film itself. After seeing the movie, I kind of feel sorry for Animal World, it may not be good enough, but it shouldn't be ignored. So I decided to write an afterthought, briefly talking about my own feelings, so as to express the importance I attach to it.
First of all, some deficiencies are put forward, which can be mainly divided into three points.
1. A few well-crafted "daydreams" don't help the plot
More than half an hour of plot that didn't get on the boat made me sleepy to be honest. Although there are the most exciting action scenes, the most sophisticated special effects, and the most dazzling shots in the whole film, as an audience, the emotions have not been mobilized at all, and it even feels a little inexplicable. And comparing it to other action movies reveals some problems. Taking the most typical action movies as an example, the most exciting fighting scenes in the whole film often appear at the end of the film, which is the most tense part. With the basis of the previous emotional foreshadowing and superposition of contradictions, the final confrontation between the protagonist and the villain is not exciting enough. It's easy to create a gripping atmosphere.
And watching the fight scene in the subway at the beginning of Animal World, when I watched it, I wanted to ask what kind of grudges the protagonist had with the people on the subway? The car chase scene after that was also the same. What did the male protagonists sign to get on the boat voluntarily? It seems that it can only express the line of the male protagonist "I have a disease in my brain". These two scenes have little meaning for the promotion of the plot and the expression of the main theme of the film, but they are quite heavy, and I feel that the money is not spent on the blade.
2. The reasoning of the game is a bit thin
The poker game should be the biggest highlight of the movie, and the protagonist's several reasonings are also very exciting. But sometimes, even a mathematically inept person like me will have questions like "It's not that simple, right?"
Briefly talk about the first time the male protagonist used three scissors to reverse the game. Children who have played rock-paper-scissors have this experience. We do tend to balance scissors, rock and paper. However, once they always play in a certain order, it is easy to lose, so in order to win, we will often observe each other's Regularly change the order of your punches. The Equilibrium Theory and the Scottish Black Goat Theory are both reasonable, but the protagonist's chosen opponent, the bearded man in the leather vest, is really lacking in his heart. After the protagonist has two scissors in a row, he still doesn't want to change his thinking, and still publishes according to the balanced thinking. Send stars. I think the protagonist wins this game by luck (= protagonist's halo), not by his previous reasoning that the game will be won.
3. What is "good" and what is "evil"?
Having said that, I have some doubts myself. At the end of the movie, the male protagonist escaped by his own ability, regained three stars and redeemed the deceived uncle, and recited the second line, there is indeed a fire here. However, the existence of the uncle in the animal world is too out of place, he is simply a lamb to be slaughtered. Simply defining the weak and incompetent as "good" is really unconvincing. If the right way is to help the weak, I think it is a bit one-sided. In the animal world, there are many people who are good and evil, like the big shrimp and Meng Guoxiang. The appearance of the uncle should be to set off the male protagonist. I think the final keynote expression can be a little deeper, of course it seems a bit demanding.
As for the pros, in fact, there are many aspects of this movie that are pretty good. For example, the design of the combination of action scenes and two-dimensional elements avoids the bloody, and the scenes are quite aesthetic; the reversal of the card game is advanced, and the plot is clearly layered and innovative; Li Yifeng's lines have improved too much, which is worthy of recognition... Also, although I always felt that the second movie was full of breath, but the little boy around me was very happy and devoted, and even applauded excitedly when the male protagonist rescued the uncle at the end, maybe sometimes a simple expression is pure enough . As a rare and excellent commercial film among domestic films, Animal World is worthy of recognition, and I look forward to the second film.
