There are three original works in total. The first one is very short and can be read in one go. The TV series has undergone major changes. I won’t talk about some major changes. A few minor changes feel quite interesting:
1. The original heroine feels less assertive and always follows the opinions of others. In the TV series, you can see that the heroine has more control over herself. For example: after escaping from the small palace and encountering Mar, they decided to find a deer. This decision was made by the heroine in the TV series. Mar's proposal was to cross the abyss; but in the novel it was the other way round, the heroine said Crossing the abyss and Mar said to find the deer. Moreover, the heroine in the original book is completely seduced by the dark master, while the heroine in the TV series is obviously more active towards the dark master.
2. In the original book, the heroine has always been passive since entering the small palace, including: she can't summon the light at all, and the martial arts training is also bad. She did not actively provoked Rouya as in the TV series, but was bullied by Rouya. In the TV series, the heroine said that he does not need the gloves given by David. In the novel, this glove is very useful. There are many small mirrors on it, which can blind the opponent.
3. In the original book, the heroine cannot summon the light after entering the small palace, how did she overcome it in the end? It was through the fact that she never received the reply from Mar, and finally she suddenly realized that she was the only one in this world, and then remembered what happened when she was a child: when she was tested by Grisha when she was a child, she was afraid of separating from Mar and took the initiative Suppresses the ability of one's own body, and because of this, it has always been difficult to sleep and taste, and skin is not good. She took the initiative to release her abilities only after remembering it, and she slept deliciously since then.
4. About getting antlers. In the TV series, it is said that the deer has selected the heroine, so the heroine can control it. In the original work, it is also a process of the heroine's enlightenment: she is reluctant to kill the deer, and finally the deer is killed by the dark master. At first she was completely unable to control her strength after putting on the antlers. On the boat in the abyss, she suddenly realized: because she chose not to kill the deer, the deer’s life was also hers; just as the deer’s life was chosen to kill it. The same as the dark master.
5. There is no plot in the original work that Rouya abandons the dark master because of her family's murder. This seems to be another female character who has her own opinion in the TV series.
I think of so much for the time being, and I think the adaptation of these details in the TV series is quite interesting. Of course, it may also show the current screenwriter's understanding of mainstream consciousness.
