Well, I thought the ratings would be low. But I didn't expect it to be this low.
I gave it four stars, and I rarely give more than two stars to the movies that Jackie Chan has acted in in recent years. There is no other reason, most of it is because the plot is unsightly. But I have always praised the martial arts scenes in Jackie Chan's movies. Uncle Jackie Chan's martial arts skills are very strong, but he does not stick to the rigid inheritance of Chinese kung fu. From the beginning of movies such as Plan A, he has tried to use the props around him as part of the martial arts. This is an innovation of martial arts films, and Uncle Jackie Chan is still presenting new experiences to the audience to this day. The two of them were hanging from the suspension beam with a rope, as well as Brother Rui's sly hammer, and the pipe that the older brother made the best use of it. The martial arts scene in the whole movie is so smooth, even people like Huang Zitao and Kai Kai who don't have a strong martial arts team don't seem to play (I can't see it with a useless stand-in?)
Let's talk about the plot. I have watched most of Jackie Chan's movies over the years. From "Zodiac" to "Kung Fu Yoga", there are three reasons why Jackie Chan's movies are so popular: martial arts superstars. But every time I watch it, I usually don't write a movie review, and I'm afraid I can't finish writing tens of thousands of words about the bugs in the plot. Especially in this year's Lunar New Year file "Kung Fu Yoga", the scenes are so well done, the plot is so fragmented, and the splicing of several scenes is very blunt. I think the plot this time is pretty good. It's not as grand as before. The theme is anti-Japanese, but it starts from the small part of blowing up the bridge. The more you can take into account, the better the plot will be.
I think the character creation is quite successful. After watching the movie, I can clearly recall Ma Yuan's "speak less", Fan Chuan's "too unorthodox", Rui's sly hammer (this really impresses me), the old talker (I'm sorry, I can't really recognize the faces and names of the supporting characters), and the "big things" of the entire Flying Tigers team. I didn't remember it deliberately, but kept it in my mind naturally. The characters have their own characteristics and are lively and vivid. (To tell the truth, this movie successfully made me get rid of Huang Zitao, I think his appearance is very good-looking)
Back to the topic. The main theme is anti-Japanese, and the director did not turn it into a red and tragic anti-Japanese drama, which I appreciate very much. I know that history is stained with blood and sweat, and most moviegoers also know it, but there is no need to force the main theme to be so tragic, and even the classic scene of tearing devils by hand. As Ma Yuan said, "Speak less", the audience is not stupid, the director should not talk about the big truth and let the audience realize it. In my opinion, it is the respect for the audience. This movie can also be said to be a magical drama with the protagonist, but I don't hate it. Because its tone is lighthearted and funny from the very beginning, I have lower requirements for its logic and rationality at the beginning of the movie, and accept the edification of patriotism in a pleasant way. And the minor theme is the patriotic act of the little man. They are small people who have always been undervalued and ridiculed by others. They have done a big thing with their own informal but effective methods. Many of the scenes in the film are novel and peculiar in conception, in line with their identities and the personalities they present.
After a few big pieces are finished, let’s add a few small details about the movie.
1. The little boy at the beginning and the end and the little flying tiger emerging from the sky are thought-provoking. We should cultivate children's patriotism and memory of martyrs from an early age, but the bloody pain will make children afraid of resistance, so it is better to infiltrate children in a gentler way.
2. I really like the way the characters appear in the comics, the violent title and the cheerful bgm that runs through the whole film. Has a unique style of humor. The rhythm of the whole film is also very good, but the editing is still a little messy.
The rotating lens experience at 3.28 minutes is very good
4. The drop of blood that splashed on the tip of Ma Yuan's nose when the big country died was well handled
5. Hmm... The scene where the brother of the Eighth Route Army rushed out at the end still disappointed me a bit, and I felt a little forced to the main theme (well, that's how rebellious I am). I really hope these little people can do this big thing by themselves.
Well, I admit that there are many shortcomings. But from the perspective of the movie's own positioning (entertainment and funny actions), the degree of completion is still quite high. At least Samsung can give it. I wouldn't say that the other star was given to my classmate Xiao Fan, a sharpshooter who was "regular" and who had done a big battle with swear words but cut me with a bloody face! ?
