War films are generally adaptations or reproductions based on history. Most of this history is the suffering of the people and the cruelty of war, and there will be a theme to express.
But for "The Big Bombing", I had to curse when I saw half of it. History in this film is just a fragment, a name, completely changed. The war is just a foil, the real plot is the love scene that takes place on the delivery road. Below we rant in detail.
I gave 2.5 points to "The Big Bombing" and 0.5 points to Mr. Fan Wei's 2-minute performance after he learned of his son's sacrifice.
"The Great Bombing", filmed in 2015, produced in 2016, Sino-US alliance, cost 400 million, more than a dozen Chinese and foreign stars, based on the "Chongqing Bombing" during World War II, tells the story of the citizens of Chongqing who died under the Japanese bombing. Optimistic and strong spirit of resistance, and the heroic story of young pilots and Japanese airmen fighting to the death to defend their homeland and protect the country with blood in the sky. The schedule was changed for 3, and the screening was finally cancelled.
The film is 96 minutes long, and the overseas version is pure English, but it is obvious that it is Chinese dubbed in English. Nicholas Tse, who has a handsome profile face, took the box lunch in two shots, but compared to Fan Bingbing, who had a black screen within 3 seconds of opening, there were many shots.

As can be seen from the above introduction, there are two lines in "The Big Bombing", the optimistic and strong line of civilians, and the blood-sprinkling line of the Chinese Air Force. Are you looking forward to it?
The director is more skinny, putting aside these two historically testable lines, virtualized a delivery line as the main line, and interspersed these two lines with editing. After watching the whole film, you will find that you have watched a road love movie, but there are various explosions and inexplicable mutual confrontations and love scenes interspersed randomly in the middle.
Like the basic routine, the director wanted to give a climax to the film, so he used PPT to explain that Chongqing became the companion capital, and after the Japanese launched the bombing, there was an air battle. Nicholas Tse, Liu Ye, William Chan, Bruce Willis, Song Seung-heon, and young, old and young men at home and abroad appeared.
In the air battle between Nicholas Tse and William Chan, they were far apart, driving a plane, shouting and talking, and I immediately went out to play. Director, are you afraid that you have watched too many racing scenes?
The Japanese fighter jets are all covered with hatch covers. I don’t understand why all the fighter jets of the Chinese Air Force have their hatch covers open and do not wear respirators. They can still receive the radio from the control tower, and can communicate with teammates in mid-air, even if they are posing on the ground. Can you refer to professional knowledge? How many kilometers high in the sky, can you live like this? Are all pilots Avatars?

Did he go back obediently as soon as he died? Don't worry, all the air battles in the back are such clips that only the scenes at the beginning and back are gone, just get used to it.
As soon as the camera turned, the Japanese Army discovered that the Chinese had sent the British decoder to Wuhan, to be transported to Chongqing, so that the hidden agents could intercept it, so Geng Le appeared. I also don't understand what the decoder does and why it is so important.

Everything in the camera, Bruce Willis is playing mahjong with Sichuan girls in the Chinese Air Force Base. Director, do you have a misunderstanding of mahjong or a misunderstanding of history? At a critical juncture in the war, the air force boss is playing mahjong? My history is not very good. As far as I know, the foreign pilots who were the leaders of the National Army Air Force during the Anti-Japanese War seems to be only in the Flying Tigers. Does this count as slandering heroes?
Even more funny, a Japanese fighter jet flew into the airport and shot Bruce Willis in the thigh. Exploding the oil drum, Le Haha ran away. Director, if Japanese fighter jets can come and visit so casually, how did your air force airport survive the entire film? Don't the Japanese know that they are coming to bomb it? Too much nonsense.
Song Seung-heon chased after the plane, and after being hit, he parachuted out. The plane fell and was carried away by the crowd. Song Seung-heon fell and was rescued by Zhang Junmi. Immediately, Liu Ye arrived in a military vehicle. So, the characters in the road film are all gathered.
The Japanese fighter jets came to bomb again, and the two children were smashed to pieces. Liu Ye didn't care about the children and insisted on getting a bullet for Song Seung-heon. The bullet was hit in the shoulder, and "he can't live if he doesn't take it out"? In the evening, Liu Ye and the children had a happy Water Splashing Festival, Song Seung-heon and Zhang Jun-mi eloped to the hospital overnight for treatment, and fell in love halfway. The element of love has finally sprouted. At this time, the film has reached 40 minutes.
In the 43rd minute, Mr. Fan Wei contributed the only wonderful scene in the film. After learning that his son died, he released the bird in the cage, and his eyes were full of sadness.
Everything in the camera, the love scene of Song Seung-heon and Zhang Jun-mi, the gnawing scene. And the love between Liu Ye and Ma Su was born.
The camera is cut again, and a P-40 aircraft appears, which seems to have better performance than the current aircraft of the National Army Air Force and can be comparable to the Japanese Zero-type aircraft. A historical event is inserted here, "The June 5th Tunnel Massacre". The real historical event is that on June 5, 1941, the Japanese Air Force bombed Chongqing continuously from evening to midnight, causing part of the ventilation openings of a main air-raid shelter to collapse and ventilate the cave. Insufficient, evacuated citizens rushed to crowd, trampled on each other and lacked oxygen. Although the official casualty figures were not announced at the time, the clean-up work was carried out all day and night, and the number of deaths was estimated to be in the thousands. Moreover, the bombing had a greater impact on the psychology of the citizens. Compared with the happy mahjong scene in the movie, the director and screenwriter are really ignorant.
In the movie, Feng Yuanzheng's wife and children also suffocated to death in the cave. But after Feng Yuanzheng brought them out, he drank water and sprayed it on his face, and his wife was alive. Really amazing. And there are also two clips interspersed in the middle of this scene, one is the confrontation between Liu Ye and Geng Le, and the other is the melee between the Chinese and Japanese air forces. That's right, it's the one where Bruce is smoking the cigar, and it's not over yet.
The camera switched, Mr. Fan Wei, Feng Yuanzheng and his wife and the vast number of Chongqing citizens were busy preparing for the mahjong competition. Song Seung-heon's empty can (reminds me of Wang Leehom's airdrop of food in "No Questions") with a letter to Zhang Jun-mi saying he wants to marry her. During this period, Liu Ye and Geng Le had another fight. The car was still on the way. When the bomb that Geng Le had installed was removed, Liu Ye and Ma Su finally fell in love.

Song Seung-heon blew up the plane of an excellent Japanese pilot, and one of the wheels of his own plane was wiped off, and he could not land after returning to the airport. Liu Ye responded in a car and let the plane land in the carriage. This operation is very anti-Japanese drama.
Here is a little bit of historical knowledge. This time the Japanese aircraft took off from the aircraft carrier. Beginning in 1938, the Japanese army bombed Chongqing with army aircraft, and in May 1939, the bombing was carried out by the navy.
It can be seen from the film that the director has done this in line with the facts, but there are two other problems. When Liu Ye accepted the delivery task, he was transported from Wuhan to Chongqing. From 1938 to May 1939, it took a year and a few months to transport, and it has not yet arrived in Chongqing. Don't you think about the timeline? Looking at it this way, what kind of decoder has no effect on the battle situation.
Second, the previous "June 5th Tunnel Massacre" happened in 1941. The film has already been performed. Will you suddenly come back to 1939, travel through it?
The film takes the mahjong contest as the final climax. Look at everyone wearing silk embroidered clothes, drinking tea and playing mahjong leisurely. Can you believe that this is the life of Chongqing people who are constantly bombed and killed? Optimism does not mean heartless, nor does it mean committing crimes. If martyrs and national misery can be spoiled like this, this movie deserves not to be released.
According to incomplete statistics, more than 10,000 people died in the Chongqing bombing, most of the downtown areas were destroyed, and nearly 20,000 houses were destroyed.
On September 10, 2012, 15 victims of the Chongqing bombing or their survivors formally sued the Japanese government.
On February 25, 2015, the Tokyo District Court pronounced the result of the first instance of the Chongqing bombing civil claim case, and 188 plaintiffs lost the case.
History is written in blood and tears, and we should respect it. Advise directors and screenwriters to respect their own history, and advise actors to have some values when they take on the show. Don't blame outsiders for laughing at you when we all spoil ourselves.
