This movie has encountered many setbacks before and after and regretted not being able to be released in China. All kinds of reports are flying all over the sky. Apart from those intricate relationships, is it a good movie to just watch the movie itself?
In fact, the theme of "The Great Bombing" is very good. The four cities that were bombed in World War II belonged to Chongqing for the longest time. However, after so many years of World War II, there has not been a single film to describe the Chongqing bombing and the heroes of the Kuomintang Air Force. Epic, maybe because of political factors, the recent description of the National Army Air Force is only "No Questions West and East". In terms of subject matter, "The Big Bombing" has a good start.
The film is roughly divided into three lines to start the plot, namely Liu Ye and Ma Su's transfer line, Chen Weiting's air force battle line and civilian Fan Wei's mahjong anti-Japanese line. The three lines have almost no intertwining points, which makes the editing look more chaotic. I can't find what the main theme of the movie is to express.
The plot flow is very absurd, I don't understand what role the character of Secretary Dakang plays, especially the emotional scenes come too quickly, which is reflected in the two relationships between Liu Ye and Ma Su, Song Seung Hsien and Zhang Junning, and they are deeply in love after only getting to know each other. Even at the end, a wedding will be arranged to complete the relationship between the characters;
William Chan and Song Seung-heon competed for the ownership of the P-40 fighter jet, and they fought each other in the rain. They also had to match such majestic background music to set off. They wanted too many things but put them all together. The chaotic and jumping plot was really impossible. Get into emotions.
In addition, the film pays too much attention to the special effects scenes, and the explosion scenes basically run through the whole film, which can be described as three minutes and five minutes. It's a pity that the technology can't support the ambition, and it can't achieve the feeling of being fake and real.
The movie has indeed achieved an all-star lineup. Almost all the close-up characters in the movie are real stars, but most of them are just a cutscene. Fan Bingbing's scene is only 9 seconds. Nicholas Tse died heroically after the first aerial battle. Hollywood superstar Adrie Ann Brody is only a few minutes old, but he has an A position in the promotional poster!
It is true that "The Big Bombing" has not achieved the level of excellence. When a movie continues to add celebrities, it is already a movie that can only be attracted by star effects. Such a good subject matter, I hope to see it in the future. The elders are well-mannered.
