Eric Rohmer's films have always been my favorites.
Not long ago, I revisited the "Girlfriend's Boyfriend" again, and I really can't get enough of it. The tone and rhythm of the film are still full of Rohmer's style, with casual, ragged dialogues, trivial life fragments, French sentiment and outfits, and a tangled and free and easy coexistence of love.
The men and women in the movie are always involved in all kinds of love, and they export their own theoretical system without any scruples. This movie implies the director's little humor and little "scheme", and the couple's color matching at the end is evident.
The seemingly bland plot, but undercurrents surging in the conversations of all walks of life. Love is inherently an unstable thing, and it is easy to be tempted by emotions, and it is easy to fall into the illusion created by self, and in the end, you will be sad and hurt yourself.
Fortunately, in the end, both of them recognized what they were thinking, and after piercing the emptiness of imagination, what they got was to sincerely face the love that suits them.
Love is always blind, but love can always return to its place, and the right people will meet eventually. Everyone has their own characteristics and background. The ideal object in your fantasy may not actually complement you or make you feel comfortable. Don't think it's your own problem at this moment, because when you really meet the right person At the same time, you will find that everything you have and everything he has are firmly inlaid together like cogwheels.
