I found this drama quite interesting~
Compared to some crews that use old objects and touch a few paintings that have nothing to do with the protagonist from other people's houses, this crew is obviously very thoughtful, especially for the children of the Bridgetown family and the mother of the male protagonist. Designed a portrait.
And this design is not random, it is clearly referenced.
For example, for the portraits of the three sisters Daphne, Eloise and Francesca, the image of Daphne in the middle is a tribute to the portrait of a woman by William Beach in Figure 2.
In Figure 3, the portrait templates of the Bridgeton brothers in the play are obviously based on Joshua Reynolds's "Portrait of Henry Finn, Inigo Jones and Charles Blair."
As for the former Duchess of Hastings in Figure 4, it comes from Thomas Gainsborough’s "Portrait of Lady Mary Reto".
As for the painting of the Duchess when Daphne was sitting in Hastings’s mansion and discovered her husband’s secrets, and was meditating before going to bed, the painting style felt like Peter Riley’s "Portrait of Elizabeth, Earl of Kildare" and A combination of "Portrait of the Duchess of Portsmouth".
Anyway, each has a reference ~ full of thought.
