Except for Ah You, the parasitic beasts are ugly and incomprehensible, and the strange appearance of Resident Evil is much more pleasing to the eye. Ugly also has ugly beauty. Why do magicians have to be fast, because they can't let you see the flaws, what are you doing so slow?
Although imperfect, there are a few things I really like about this movie.
The role of Tamiya is very charming, which is the suspense of the film. You never know when she'll be irritated by you.
The shaping of the characters and the proper handling of family affection add a lot to the film, especially the reaction of Shota Someya when his mother became a parasitic beast, which touched me deeply. When a person loses a close relative, the first reaction that first appears in his mind is not sadness, but disbelief, unwilling to accept this fact, and trying to escape. Then comes the sadness. Here, taking advantage of the opportunity of resurrection, after he was rescued and woke up, the first thing he did was run to the bathroom immediately, and found that everything was really not a dream, then he was kneeling on the ground and tearing his heart out. The lungs are crying, and the scar on the back of the heart has not healed, and the camera has slowly opened. The way this paragraph deals with the emotions of the characters is really powerful. It is mixed in the narrative, and it grasps every right point. The dislocation of the characters' emotions and his actual actions is in line with the tense atmosphere. The whole paragraph is very impactful, and it is really wonderful, even surpassing the paragraph of revenge with A that should be the climax of the film.
In the theme of mutation or zombies, it is bound to have something to do with family, but the protagonist of this film is not a brave or witty character like most films with similar themes (mainly the United States), even more than Ordinary people need to be a little more timid and panic, but what makes this character attractive is that in his cognition, intelligence is not the first priority, and it is okay to be confused. Although he may seem slow, he hides in his heart. In fact, the first-level star has always been there. It is family, friendship, love, the people he cares about, and his kindness. This kindness affects all his emotions and then his choices.
Because humans have caused so much trauma to the earth, can parasites destroy humans and rule the world? Is the world dominated by parasites the same as the world dominated by humans? Absolutely different, parasites have no emotion, no dedication, they feel unworthy, they will not stand up for their fellows even for their fellows, and they will not be swayed because they know the secrets of their own destiny but cannot tell them. The inner suffering, let alone the dead relatives who have become enemies. Parasites are purely rational species, while humans are a perfect fusion of sensibility and rationality, so humans are irreplaceable. Even if parasitic beasts rule the world, a world without emotion must be very dangerous.
Must look forward to the sequel. I don't think it can be called a sequel, but only the second half. It's not good enough to tell a complete story.
