it's not epic

The benefit of a good movie is that everyone can see it. What I like about "City of Sadness" is the style of the movie, including the prose narrative structure that has been praised countless times, Ozu-style camera language and soundtrack.

And I don't agree with many people's appreciation of epic movies. My views on the definition of epic are completely different. This is a work about a big era. Although it is about small people, the background is a big event in history. The epic in my heart should belong to the most ordinary people, and belong to most of the most meaningless times in the life of ordinary people. Because in the vast history, big figures and big events are only a drop in the ocean, most of the world belongs to the unknown ordinary people, and most of the time is the days when ordinary people repeat work and eat, drink and Lazar. These should be the core of history, the main theme of human destiny, and the most should be remembered and praised.

The great artist ought best to keep his eyes on the open air, not the occasional bird in flight.
