Not sure why it's called that, or the smell of summer, or the smell in the air, but it really has nothing to do with Hawaii.
There is very little dialogue, most of the time is birdsong, cleaning or writing, no conflict, no passion. Most of the shots are one shot, no exposure or montage.
It's such a story, and it's over.
Going back and looking for movie introductions, I still won some awards, and it can be regarded as a niche movie with a niche topic. There are always some people who like this type, and they just read it and understand the life of a type of person.
