I started to lose hearing when I was about 14 years old and started to wear hearing aids.
I have experienced the feelings of the protagonist more or less. But reality and movies are often the opposite. Calmness and acceptance are the norm, but sadness and anger will often flash.
In terms of metaphysical viewing experience, I still like this movie, a story of self-salvation and self-reconciliation.
But in a specific sense, I can only say that the film's expression of hearing loss is too much the same as the expression of loss of family, loss of dignity, loss of legs, etc. in other works, and the expression of loss of other things.
This feeling may be because I really lost my hearing. But I still hope that the feelings will be more profound when works of the same type appear in the future.
