The film's narrative style is very unique. The reality is presented in gray and dark tones, and the bright colors and exaggerated styles of the party scenes interspersed from time to time form a huge contrast with reality. The film restores the parallel plot development of the two lines in the novel, and there are more time shots to link up the whole story, and order in chaos is even more rare.
It's a pity that the characters in the film are thin and too flat. The corner of Kanako is only neurotic, and the corner of the father is simple and rude.
The most exciting part of the whole film should be the confrontation between the father and the teacher at the end of the film.
