Not a confession this time

I watched "Confession" a few years ago, and this time Tetsuya Nakajima finally presented his new work. I always felt that the emotional description of "Longing" lacked a little bit of the female peculiar sensibility of Takashi Matsuko. I will define him as a film in the cult category for the time being. In recent years, there have been many films about the Japanese dark academy style, and most of them focus on discussing human nature, but this time I only seem to feel "sex". Where did the "people" go? Hiroshi Yakusho's hard-working performance added a lot to the film, but he still couldn't avoid being completely buried by the screenwriter. Nakajima's usual fragmented storyboards make the picture more beautiful, but no matter how beautiful the picture is, it can't cover up the reality with complicated clues and chaotic logic. The advantage of Nakajima's film style lies in editing, but the editing this time makes the film lack the tension it should have and also disrupts the rhythm of the narrative, making people feel like they don't understand. It is worth mentioning that the BGM in the play has to be praised for the classic Japanese soundtrack. I believe that the participation of Komatsu Nana and Hashimoto Ai will definitely increase the attendance rate of the film, but we are no longer the youthful high school students of the year. How can the endless killing plot satisfy people's curiosity about the story itself? I would rather not. To believe your own speculation, I will not elaborate here, so as not to be accused of spoilers. Perhaps my own expectations for it are too high, and the ending of the story inevitably makes people feel a little plausible. The short review that I just wanted to say casually was written into a film review without knowing it, and finally I advised all friends who want to watch it. This film is defined by me as a cult style, and it is better to watch it selectively.
