Have you ever had the urge to make the other person disappear?

Have you ever wanted to fall into a bottomless pit forever, or never want to get out of a dream? …

The movie "Desire" explains it all.

Wilde said: "It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or boring."

Kanako is a charming person.

People recall Kanako always saying, "He was nice to everyone and everyone liked her." She was always there when others needed help, she was beautiful and attractive, but crazy. Such madness may be related to family factors as well as one's own experience. An alcoholic and violent father in the family, a derailed mother, and his own confused life.

As they say: "She's a devil, she always makes someone fall in love with her and then tells him 'I love you' that ends up ruining him."

I still remember the way Nagano looked at her at that drug party.

Nagano eventually sold his body, took drugs, and was killed. She fell in a pool of blood, covered in knife marks, like an exquisite abandoned puppet.

The victim male was killed after "becoming Ogata".

It seems that the relationship between the characters is chaotic, but in fact the plot of the movie is very clear: it is the process of a bipolar father looking for his daughter.

At the beginning of the movie, the heroine said softly: "Love し て る (I love you)"

From returning home, the father found out the fact that his daughter was taking medicine, then the emotional conflict with his ex-wife, and the conflict with his colleagues and daughter gradually showed.

There are three important elements of the movie

The first is the rabbit hole of Alice in Wonderland

The second is "I love you" by Kanako

The third is the clip switching of the time point

At the end of the movie, in the Christmas atmosphere, the church and the snow scene echoed at the beginning and end, and Kanako's confession, which was unclear to everyone at the beginning, gradually became clear.

This film exaggerates reality, but also presents reality.

In life, when we lose everything, or something happens that seriously breaks my outlook, or when I feel like I'm living in a dream, I try to restrain myself as much as possible.

But Kanako gave up walking out and chose to stay in that bottomless pit all the time, doing crazy and dehumanizing behaviors.

When the victim man confronted her, she said: "That girl is not me, because I have been here - here, alone, dreaming... Because it is a dream, there are no rules."

So she is infatuated with people, promiscuous, destroying people, taking drugs, and killing people at will.

In the end, Kanako was killed by the victim's mother, her own teacher.

Father also loves and hates Kanako. Always said that he wanted to kill her with his own hands. But she actually loves her very much. So in the end, the teacher will be forced to search for the body in the snow. What's the point of finding it? But he was still searching like crazy.

"Her sin stems from my blood, so it must be settled by me."

This movie is quite brutal and bloody, and the scenes in it are easy to make the audience feel uncomfortable. The unique style of editing is also easy to bring visual tension.

Most of the characters created in the film are in a state of being infatuated to being destroyed, and they do not deeply shape the role of the victim, but focus on the characters of Kanako and her father.

Tetsuya Nakajima's film portrays people who are isolated, deprived of love, and suffering from mental illness, while also allowing us to re-examine our inner world.
