The film is set in Berlin at the moment, and the heroine Wendine is a consultant for the Urban Development Authority. Her current boyfriend suddenly proposes to break up, when an ancient curse seems to be about to come true. In medieval legends, Undine were water spirits who would kill the man and return to the water if the man they married betrayed them. The heroine of the film wanted to resist the curse and left Berlin. It was at this point that she met Christopher, an industrial diver working in a reservoir area in western Germany. The two are in love. It wasn't long before Christopher noticed that Wentini seemed to be fleeing from something and felt betrayed...
