The impression of Russia is relatively dilapidated and depressed, and the film industry is of course relatively backward. There are really no fragments of Russian films in my memory. And this "Black Lightning" made me have a very good feeling about its film industry and its people.
Black Lightning is a sci-fi hero movie. There are many similar Hollywood blockbusters: Superman, Batman, and X-MAN are too many to count. Blindly fighting special effects and visuals, the plot is unbearable, so I really don't like sci-fi movies. However, the Russian film moved me in terms of its plot. Although there are no exciting fight scenes and dazzling visual effects, the rich characters and their mental journeys are portrayed through meticulous plot narratives. What makes people even more amazing is the screenwriter's ability to turn stone into gold. He put some of the right, wrong, right, and right stories that we may all encounter on the male protagonist, and this ordinary but coincidental experience constitutes the inner conflict of the protagonist. These contradictions just reflect the current social problems of moral concepts and value orientations, which greatly shocked me. A heroic sci-fi film can make people think about such a serious topic, but the plot can be so vivid and natural, which is really commendable. How can such a refreshing approach not make people moved? Especially the values revealed by the characters in the play made me even more appreciative of the Russians. This is the first time for me to be more brainwashed and sing praises than the Russians from a sci-fi film.
In fact, twisting up now, in fact, Russians are all creative and mindful. The crack of XP under the body and the modification of various software know how sharp they are, so it is not surprising to write a script that is willing to innovate. "Black Lightning" is probably the best sci-fi movie I've ever seen.
