Since I watched the documentary "Balance" in my early years, "Kekexili" just slid past my eyes. I am thankful for "Kekexili" because it uses a different language to tell the story - not because the language is more vivid, but because it is more fluid and has a wider range of circulation - it has passed through the media and film festivals The channel's speech has aroused worldwide awareness of the issue of Hoh Xil and a review of the mechanisms and human rights issues in the process of ecological protection, and its practical significance should be highly appraised.
But I still feel that the artistic "Kekexili" has been overrated and misloved. The director's self-confidence after winning the Golden Horse Award for the pure literary film Wong Kar-wai made me feel that the director has a lack of understanding of the true value of the film and why its value is displayed.
The script of the film is basically a blend of non-fiction works that have already come out, and the content of the re-creation is basically limited to the shots and performances - the picture is really good, but "Xixia Road" impressed me even more; "shooting in no-man's land "It's better to be rendered, but the depiction of human nature in a desperate situation is still a program. This kind of deliberate rendering of the creative process reminds me of "boat on land", but after watching it, I realized that there is nothing more "mountainous" than this film. I think Herzog is a performance artist practicing Germanic Romanticism, not a film director, and he must have gotten his way in this direction. But does "Kekexili" understand what it is after?
