As a comedy, Monster Hunt is clearly excellent, thanks to the actors in the film, which surprise from starring to cameos. Little girl Bai Baihe plays the female monster hunter who has no sense of disobedience. Fresh meat Jing Boran is a little more silly than Ke Zhendong's ruffian, handsome uncle Jiang Wu is serious and funny, but also full of laughter. The role is tailor-made for him. Zhong Hanliang is too handsome to play a villain. Tang Wei is disheveled and plays mahjong vulgarly. Now, Yan Ni and Bao Jianfeng almost didn't recognize their husband and wife team. Cindy and Tian Tian were two little monsters that were so cute that they were crazy.
Compared with the outstanding actors, the various monsters in the animation are obviously much weaker. First of all, the image is a bit ugly and cute. Except for the radish monster king Huba who can make all kinds of cute expressions, the other monsters are not much interesting, even the big boss. It didn't have a very ferocious combat power, but it looked a little silly and vulnerable. The design of the monsters is not very recognizable. If I don't wear human skin, I may not be able to successfully match the roles of each monster. In addition to the jokes of the supporting roles of various celebrities, there is no hugely expensive blockbuster in the publicity, no shocking big scenes and big fights, all kinds of people and monsters are flirtatious sketches that are visual, 3D effect better than nothing.
In general, the human role is far more brilliant than the monster character with CG special effects, and the comedy is more than the fantasy scene. This is a wonderful sketch with an excellent actor and a smooth plot. But as a fantasy blockbuster, it's a bit unsatisfactory.
I thought it was an ancient costume version of Shrek, but it's actually more like a fantasy version of Martial Arts.
