Many years ago, I saw the "American version" of "The Story of Hachiko," played by Richard Gere as a professor. The two versions each have their own distinct characteristics. The American style is strong and moving, the Japanese style is implicitly sad, and the prototype and framework of the story are basic. The similarities are not the same, but from my point of view, the core of the two versions of the story is very different. In the American-style personal heroism environment, it is easy to shape the natural loyalty and deep affection expressed from the inside out, thus triggering the viewers' compassion for this heroic style. Behind the Japanese-style introverted life narrative, there is a stronger tragic color, the environment and people, the invasion from the outside to the inside, because of love, but also because no one loves me anymore.
After watching this film carefully, I have a deeper understanding of people and love. I haven't stopped crying since 50 minutes. This is the best crying movie I've seen since "The Life of the Disgusted Matsuko".
