This kind of feeling is like watching a suspenseful reasoning movie, and finally telling you that the answer is all imagined by the protagonist. Disappointing enough to want to smoke.
I remember reading a similar comic before, and it was also a protagonist who woke up and found that all the people around him had changed. The ending seemed to be a little stronger than this. The reason why everyone concealed the protagonist was because of a murder. Everyone around me deceives one person. I personally prefer this kind of ending to finding my true self.
