This should be one of the best political and war movies I have ever seen. The plot, conflict, special effects, and atmosphere are all very good. The narrative is a little messy, but the flaws do not hide the flaws.
First of all, in terms of the background of the story, it is based on the real complex relationship between North Korea, South Korea, China, the United States and Japan. Fictional stories based on real backgrounds make us feel more real. This kind of truth is very important, and it is difficult and requires courage. Many Hollywood movies also like to build complex international relations, but in fact they are completely false and dramatic. Because of this very routine in international relations, the United States is always just, China and Russia are always the role of the military, and the United Kingdom and France are only small players who are disturbing and fearful most of the time.
The conflict creation in the work is very layered. The big conflict is the ideological gap between North and South Korea, while the conflict reflected in the details of the story is the difference in the behavior of the two protagonists in different social forms. As the plot progresses, both conflicts are gradually dissolving, which also means the easing of the hostile relations between the two countries.
The work's grasp of the atmosphere is also very good. In fact, this movie is very tragic, and the North Korean agent is a very tragic character. In addition, the atmosphere of many episodes is also very tense, especially the scenes of gun battles and nuclear bombs. But a lot of playful conversation elements were added to the work, especially two songs of GD were played on the way to perform extremely dangerous two times, which adjusted the atmosphere just right.
However, in terms of the narrative technique, it is indeed a little messy, the clues and the background of the characters are not clear enough, and there are too many characters, the names are completely unclear, and the face is blind, which makes me often pause to think. This still affects the experience.
Our country can't come up with this type of movies that are very hard. In addition to being too entertaining, the average audience level is too low, and it is indeed limited by various policies. I hope that in our lifetime, we can also face up to history, face up to ourselves, and make such a decent type of film.
